Transportation

  • Berkshire Shuttle operates daily shuttles between Albany, NY airport and nearly forty lodging places in the Berkshires. If you are traveling from another transportation hub they may be able to support you with advanced reservations.

  • Bianco’s Limousine has a fleet of luxury vehicles that can comfortably accommodate anywhere from 2 to 15 passengers. Airport transportation, corporate services, special events and valet service are offered in their sparkling clean vehicles. An Uber-like service is available in and around Lenox and the surrounding area on select days for short trips.

  • Abbott’s Limo serves Pittsfield and towns in Southern Berkshire County with a fleet of vehicles to serve a range of client needs. They operate 24/7 from virtually any location in the region including nearby airports (Hartford, CT and Albany, NY) and train stations (Wassaic, Hudson, Albany, NY)

  • The Berkshire Flyer is a seasonal Amtrak train service between Moynihan Station/Penn Station and Pittsfield.

  • Mt. Greylock Campsite Park is located at the base of Mt. Greylock in Lanesborough, MA. This RV park features water, electric and grey water hook ups. Each campsite has a fire ring and picnic table.

  • Glamping RV in Lee hosted by Kathie in Lee, MA invites you to relax in a 32’ RV that sleeps up to six people in two rooms. There is a full kitchen and bathroom as well as outdoor living space, grill and firepit.

  • Camp Arrow Wood, located on Richmond Pond in Pittsfield, MA is a premier sports camp. The cabins and dorm are available to the general public when the camp is not hosting youth.

Area Sites and Attractions That We Visit on Berkshire Camino Routes

  • High Lawn Farm is a family-owned, 100% Jersey Cow dairy farm that is celebrating being in operation for 100 years. The Farmstead Creamery store offering milk, butter, eggs, cheeses and ice cream opened in 2020. It is a picturesque location to meet their happy cows while sampling a charcuterie plate or an ice cream. High Lawn Farm is located in Lee, MA and is on Berkshire Camino’s Half-Day Lee to Lenox guided walking tour.

  • The Mount, Edith Wharton’s Home is a turn-of-the-century home designed and built by Edith Wharton in 1902. A National Historic Landmark, today The Mount is a cultural center that celebrates the intellectual, artistic and humanitarian legacy of Edith Wharton. The Mount is located in Lenox and is on Berkshire Camino’s Half-Day Lee to Lenox guided walking tour. Self-guided, timed, ticketed tours of the historic home are also available.

  • Parson’s Marsh is part of the Undermountain Valley, a wetland and forest area in the heart of Lenox. Berkshire Natural Resources Council, the Town of Lenox, and private landowners have partnered to conserve this land for farmland soils, wildlife habitat, and recreation. BNRC’s 183-acres now offer an accessible trail that is half hard-packed surface and half boardwalk, encouraging all visitors to enjoy the wetlands and woodlands, and observe the abundance of plants and animals. Parson’s Marsh is on Berkshire Camino’s Lenox Villager Loop guided walking tour. Please note that BNRC properties are free and open to the public.   • Kennedy Park is a hardwood forest with old carriage roads that is owned and maintained by the Town of Lenox, MA and open to the public for free. Nearly 15 miles of groomed trails make it ideal for hiking, picnicking in the summer and snowshoeing and X-country skiing in the winter. Kennedy Park is on Berkshire Camino’s Lenox Villager guided walking tour.

  • Chesterwood, located in Stockbridge is the home, studio and gardens of America’s foremost public 20th Century sculptor Daniel Chester French. A site of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Berkshire Camino visits the grounds on the Half-Day Housatonic to Stockbridge guided walk.

  • Ventfort Hall Mansion & Gilded Age Museum was one of approximately 75 Gilded Age “cottages” built in Lenox in the late 19th Century. It is a restored treasure that allows a step back in time. To understand the Berkshires, in particular Lenox, is to get a sense of the Gilded Age influence. Berkshire Camino visits the grounds on the Lenox Walkabout.

  • Shakespeare & Company is a theatre company and performance venue located in Lenox, MA that embraces the classical ideals and visceral experience of Shakespeare’s work. It is also an innovative center for training and education. Berkshire Camino navigates the Lenox Walkabout and on occasion, the Lee to Lenox Half-Day hike through the grounds of Shakespeare & Company.

  • The National Shrine of the Divine Mercy sits on Eden Hill in Stockbridge, MA and sprawls over 375 acres. It is a sacred site that was used by the Mohican Indigenous People long before Colonial settlers arrived. Today the Shrine is a pilgrimage site for Catholics. The campus is open to the public. Berkshire Camino walks through the grounds on the Half-Day Stockbridge to Lee guided walk.

  • The Clark Art Institute, located in downtown Williamstown, is one of only a handful of institutions globally with a dual mission as an art museum and a distinguished center for research and higher education, dedicated to advancing and extending the public understanding of art. It is known for its intimate galleries and the beauty of its pastoral setting as well as unique performing arts events.

  • MASS MoCA located in the heart of North Adams is an ambitious and sprawling contemporary art museum and performance venue. This vibrant organization describes itself as, “a dynamic open platform…located on a historic factory campus…”
